Dearest Supporters of Evergreen City Ballet,

I am happy to announce the opening of the 24/25 Annual Fund for ECB.

I have wrapped up my first season as Artistic Director, during which we celebrated ECB’s historic 30th anniversary!

Highlights of my first season with ECB included:

  • a successful run of The Nutcracker

  • an open house that brought in new students and a greater awareness of our presence within our community and the city of Renton

  • participation of our most outstanding students in three of the most important dance festivals in the Pacific Northwest

  • successful performances of Coppelia in collaboration with Newport High School Orchestra, conducted by Barney Blough

  • two great Season Finale performances–where every student is invited to participate

As we reflect on the growth and achievements of the school year, it is time to set our sights on the future.

EVERY Annual Fund donation, no matter the size, makes a difference!

“I highly recommend Evergreen City Ballet. It is truly the best ballet studio. My daughter has been training here for eight years, since she was three years old. She loves to dance at ECB so much, and is always excited to continue training here. All of the faculty are amazing! They give dancers top-notch classical ballet training and create a healthy dance environment. ECB also offers many performance opportunities to dancers including young ones. I'm happy to see my daughter and all the other dancers thriving beautifully at this studio. ECB is not only a ballet studio, but also a community. All the staff and families here are very warm and kind. This is a great place for ANYBODY who loves to dance!”

EVERGREEN CITY BALLET CURRICULUM SCHOOL PROGRAM

From September 2024 we will implement a new school curriculum. This new, great challenge comes hand-in-hand with a great dream, honoring the heritage of excellence that characterizes ECB.

Designed especially for ECB, this pre-professional training will be the starting point to generate more cultured dancers, who will be prepared to work in any company in the world, and create new teachers of the art of dance.

That is why I am writing to you. To those who have previously supported us with their generous contributions, we ask that you continue to do so. Your support is an important contribution that allows us to maintain our reputation as the school in the area that trains excellent dancers. We are tremendously grateful for your contributions, as ECB is a non-profit organization.

The ECB Annual Fund helps fill the 35% funding gap between tuition and the cost to train our dancers for the year. The Annual Fund also supports facility improvements that allow us to provide a safe, professional environment for dancers and staff alike.

The 23/24 Annual Fund raised $45,000, which funded the addition of outdoor lighting and replacing our studio lighting with softer, more energy efficient, LED lighting.

For those who could not yet join us or did not know how, this is a great opportunity to help construct the foundation of this new stage at Evergreen City Ballet. Any contribution, no matter how small, helps our students to continue with their professional training, develop their creativity, and be part of this cultural community that prioritizes our humanity.

Your support of the Annual Fund also helps ECB reach those who need economic support in order to fulfill their dream. By offering your support, you are uplifting the achievements of our artists.

We invite you all to be part of the ECB Family. We count on your big heart to help us reach our goal of raising $60,000 to support the 24/25 Season.

With Gratitude,

Maximiliano Guerra, Artistic Director
