Weekly Bulletin - February 8

Evergreen City Ballet

Hello ECB,

Inclement Weather

Thank you everyone for your attentiveness to the inclement weather our area experienced last week. As of now, there is more snow in the forecast for late next week. Please keep a close eye on your emails and Slack for any updates to the regular weekly class schedule.

Celebrating Black History Month

This week, we're sharing a great reading list PNB shared during their 2024 Ballet History Month celebration. It's full of great autobiographies by trailblazing Black artists like Alvin Ailey and Michaela DePrince, who we tragically lost last year. There's also a great selection of children's books authored by the likes of Debbie Allen & Misty Copeland. Take a look and happy reading!

I ❤️ ECB - Class Competition

ECB's 24/25 Annual Fund is off to a great start, yet we still have important goals to reach. Our goal is to achieve 100% participation from ECB families and raise $60,000 to make the 24/25 school year the best ECB has ever had. As of 2/7/25, we have raised over $28,000 toward our $60,000 goal with donations from 15 families and many other generous supporters.

~ In an effort to reach 100% participation from ECB families, we’re bringing back our I ❤️ ECB class competition! ~

If you are one of the ECB families who has already donated to the Annual Fund…THANK YOU! Having 100% participation from ECB families in our Annual Fund is invaluable when ECB applies for grants and foundation support. It speaks volumes about the organization when we can show funders that 100% of ECB families donate to the school.

From February 10-March 1, all levels at ECB will compete to be the first class to reach 100% participation and win a stainless steel ECB water bottle for each dancer in the class.

See attached flyer for all the details!

Spring Production

Due to the snow and the studio closure at the beginning of this week, we will be releasing the casting next weekend. Thank you to all of you who signed up, and I look forward to starting the rehearsal process and anticipate that rehearsals will be starting after Mid- Winter break!

I hope that you all have a relaxing weekend!!

Happy Dancing,

Ms. Denali
