Weekly Bulletin - January 11

Evergreen City Ballet

Hello ECB!

I hope that everyone is having a wonderful start to their New Year and hopefully enjoyed lots of rest during the holidays. Our dancers are back with lots of energy and it has been fantastic being back in the studio with them!

Below are several reminders and lots of information on upcoming performances and events happening at ECB.

Upper Ballet VI Schedule

Please note that Upper Ballet VI students will join the Performance Division Classical Technique class with Ms. Jenn on Monday, January 13th from 5:45pm-7:45pm in lieu of their normal class with Ms. Myriam. Ellove will be held as normal. Thank you!

Mid-Year Conferences

Mid-year conferences will be held in person at ECB from January 15-January 31. This is a great time for us to check in on the progress of our students, discuss their summer dance plans, and do some goal-setting for the remainder of the season. Mid-year conferences also give us the opportunity to further support our students by listening to their needs and providing them with a safe space for them to express themselves. Conferences are optional and available to all ECB students who would like one. However, students in Upper Ballet IV & up are strongly encouraged to sign up.

You can sign up for a 30-minute meeting down below. If you would like to request a conference but don't see an available time that works for you, please email Mr. Nathan at principal@evergreencityballet.org so he can help find another time that works.

ECB Spring Performance: Hansel and Gretel

This spring, Evergreen City Ballet is excited to collaborate with Newport High School Orchestra to present the re-telling of Hansel & Gretel– the tale of two siblings who are abandoned in the forest and fall into the hands of a witch who lives in a gingerbread house. ECB’s Hansel and Gretel will be held May 2nd, 3rd and 4th at the Newport Performing Arts Center. This performance will include students from Primary Ballet I through the Performance Division.

  • Auditions will be held next Saturday, January 18th (Please note that this is different from what is on the 24/25 School Calendar). Below is the Audition Schedule:

Ballet II and Ballet III - from 2:15 - 3:15 PM, in Studio B

Ballet IV, V VI - from 3:30 - 4:30 PM, in Studio B

  • Primary Ballet 1 and the Performance Division are NOT required to audition. Please Email Ms. Denali at rehearsal@evergreencityballet.org and Mr. Max at director@evergreencityballet.org to confirm your participation in ECBs Spring Performance.

  • Ballet III and up, both Open Ballet Program and Pre Professional School Program students, must communicate via email if you will NOT be participating in this performance. Please email Mr. Max director@evergreencityballet.org and Ms. Denali at rehearsal@evergreencityballet.org to let us know.

  • Rehearsals for Primary Ballet 1 and Ballet II will likely start early February.

  • If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask!

Studio Reminder: Lost & Found

Our Lost & Found has accumulated quite the collection since the beginning of the school year. Be sure to take a look the next time you're at the studio to see if there's anything you or your dancer might have left behind. Any uncollected items will be donated at the end of the month.

Weekly Class Schedule

Now that Nutcracker is over, we are back to the normal Weekly Class Schedule (A) unless you are otherwise notified. You can find a copy of Schedule A below.
