Hello Wonderful ECB Families!
Thank you for taking the time to read the following announcements.
Studio Reminder
As we move into the busy fall season, please remember to keep your car doors locked and avoid leaving valuables in your vehicle while attending classes or rehearsals. While we haven’t had any issues, it’s always a good idea to stay vigilant and on the safe side.

Production Gift Giving Policy
At Evergreen City Ballet, we love the community spirit that grows during productions (especially during Nutcracker). Each year, we see dancers of all ages form meaningful connections both onstage and backstage, and we’re grateful for the care and encouragement our families show one another.
To help ensure every student feels equally included, we ask that families refrain from giving individual or group gifts to castmates during the production. While these gestures are always made with kindness, they can unintentionally lead to hurt feelings when not all dancers receive something.
If you’d like to share holiday cheer or appreciation, consider a simple treat donated for the entire cast (nut-free, please). Please refer to the production packet for food items that should never come backstage so we avoid staining costumes or making unnecessary messes.
Note: This does not pertain to the upper level student gift exchange.
Nutcracker School Shows
This year, we will be putting on 2 special performances of the 1-hour show version of our Nutcracker for students in the Auburn School District and Renton School District. The details are as follows:
Friday, December 12th: 12:00pm Auburn SD School Show (CAST A)
Friday, December 19th: 11:30am Renton SD School Show (CAST B)
As these all fall during the normal school/work day, it is not mandatory for anyone to participate. However, we greatly appreciate any and everyone who is available to help us share the gift of dance with these students. Please fill out the form below to confirm if your dancer is available to participate in any of the school shows that their cast is called for. Excusal letters will be provided for families to submit to their child's school.
Nutcracker
I have reattached the Performance Packet below, please double-check for tights, ballet shoes (several colors are used throughout the performance), hair pieces and hair styles.
Party Girl curls should ready have been purchased, or should be purchased by the end of the day. Please ONLY purchase through the link in the Performance packet.
Upper Level (IV-PD) Performance Tights: There was a mistake in the production packet. IF you have already purchased the Body Wrappers tights that is OKAY to use those. Otherwise please purchase: So Danca, Adult Mesh Seamed Convertible Tights (TS96), in theatrical pink or a skin tone matching color.
These adult style tights can be ordered in child sizes directly through SoDanca’s website.

Ballet Bun Video: Ballet Bun Tutorial
*If you have not started practicing this bun, please do so. It is a requirement for all dress rehearsals and performance. You are welcome to ask any instructors for help if you are struggling!
Rehearsal Schedule: Nutcracker_2025_Rehearsal_Schedule_11_17_-_11_23.pdf
Notes: Rehearsals WILL BE HELD during Thanksgiving week (Mon/Tue/Wed) and MICE will rehearse on Saturday, December 6 from 2:15 to 3:00.
I suggest that everyone have a cup of hot cocoa this week with extra marshmallows and whipped cream.
With so much love,
Ms. Theresa
