Weekly Bulletin - October 12

Hi ECB,

This is a big Bulletin full of information. Please make sure to give it all a read and let me know if you have any questions!

REMINDER: No Classes on Monday, October 14

This is a friendly reminder that ECB will be closed on Monday, October 9 in observance of Indigenous Peoples' Day. No classes or rehearsals will be held during that time. All scheduled programming will resume on Tuesday, October 10.

School Note

Please do not use the front staff parking lot as a drop off or pick up point. To keep our dancers all safe, no parents/guardians are not allowed to use this parting lot. Street parking along the side of ECB on Garden Ave or the parking lot on the other side of the building are what should be used for student drop off and pick up. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping all of our students safe.

Observation Week

Our first Observation Week of the year is Tuesday, October 15-Monday, October 21. Observation Week is when we invite you into the classroom to see your dancer's hard work up close. Here are some tips to help everyone have a successful watch week:

  • All observers must verify that they are feeling healthy and not currently experiencing any flu-like or cold-like symptoms before attending their dancer’s class.

  • All observers must arrive on time and stay for the entire length of your dancer's class. Coming and going in the middle of class can be distracting for students – especially our younger ones!

  • We will have chairs set up in the front of each studio for our visitors. Remember to remove street shoes before stepping onto the marley floor. Thank you for helping to preserve our dance floors!

  • To avoid disruptions, please silence your devices and save any questions that you have for our instructors until the end of class.

  • Non-flash photography is welcome and encouraged! Be sure to tag us on social media :)

If you have any questions about Observation Week, please email Mr. Nathan at principal@evergreencityballet.org.

Please note: Observation Week is for classes only. Rehearsals are not open for observation.

Wardrobe Asks from Ms. Debbi

“My goal for this year's Nutcracker is to focus on Act 1, especially Party Scene. My hope is to get new costumes added and current ones revitalized. The wardrobe Amazon Wish List has been updated with “most wanted” items that will help embellish and enhance our costumes (ie. Crystals, gloves, cumberbunds, bow ties, broaches, lace etc..)”

The Wardrobe department is also asking for men's black tuxedo suits, tuxedo shirts with the pleated fronts, mens black dress shirts, and any color cumberbund & bow ties as well as White or Ivory colored sheets.

Reminder to also support Wardrobe by donating to/purchasing from the wardrobe consignment shop next to the wardrobe workroom. There are second hand leotards for all age groups, ballet skirts and ballet warm ups as well!

A huge thankyou to all those who have already purchased or donated to Wardrobe!!

Thank you, Ms. Debbi!
