Upper Ballet IV+ Nutrition Workshops
We are excited to partner with Annamarie DeGennaro for two upcoming nutrition workshops for Upper Ballet IV & up this spring. She will be visiting for part of their Saturday conditioning class from 11:30am-12:00pm on April 18 & May 23. These workshops will be provided complimentary as they will take place during your regular class time. Please be sure to bring your notebook and something to write with. Learn more about Ms. DeGennaro below!
Annamarie is a nutritionist who is passionate about teaching, eating, and helping others learn to enjoy food. She practices an evidence-based approach to nutrition, as well as size-inclusive, whole-person care that recognizes inequalities in our food and healthcare systems. Annamarie has a Master’s in Integrative Nutrition and works primarily with folks who have complex chronic illnesses such as POTS, ME/CFS, MCAS, hEDS/hypermobile disorders, Long-COVID, and more. She began her nutrition education after being unable to find anyone in nutrition who could help her manage her complex chronic illnesses, and saw an opening the community needed. Annamarie is currently working on her board certification hours and has been accepted into a doctoral program beginning next fall. Annamarie is also passionate about keeping athletes properly fueled while maintaining a positive relationship with food. She has a teen athlete of her own who plays multiple high school sports, and is the big sister of a dance teacher (Ms.Theresa!), so she has been lucky enough to have been around dance for a while now. When Annamarie is not talking about nutrition, she is reading fantasy novels, gardening, baking, cheering on her kiddo, or having fun with her sister. |
