Weekly Bulletin - March 7

Hello ECB Families! Happy Saturday!

This week's bulletin is information dense, so give yourself a few minutes to read through it.

Upcoming Workshop: FLOORWORK w/ Charmaine & Babatunji

Be sure to sign up for next Saturday’s special workshop with ECB Alum Charmaine Butcher!

Charmaine began their training at ECB under the direction of our Founding Artistic Director Wade Walthall, and continued their training with Alonzo King LINES Ballet's Training Program in San Francisco. Charmaine was a beloved instructor at ECB for many years and also served as our Rehearsal & Programs Coordinator before Ms. Denali.

Charmaine will kick off the day by leading our Open Upper Ballet V-PD Technique class from 12:00-2:00pm, teaching contemporary ballet.

After class, Charmaine and their partner, Babatunji, will present a FREE in-studio performance for our community that will lead into an afternoon of floorwork workshops.

These workshops provide an approachable method to integrate breaking based techniques into contemporary practice. Participants will learn floor work built from the movement principles of Breaking. Complex movements will be scaled down in order to teach all experience levels how to safely progress into larger and more daring movements in and out of the floor. Come ready to sweat, explore, and redefine what floorwork can be!
